What are Point-of-Care (POC) screens? 
A qualitative test taken at the point of care. This test can provide rapid results and the opportunity for faster medical decisions. Only LC-MS/MS confirmation can truly establish the presence or absence of the drug. 

Will Insight Labs provide POC cups?
Yes. Insight Labs will invoice the physician. 

How accurate and reliable is the LC-MS/MS confirmation?
Insight Labs utilizes the most sophisticated, up to date technology available. The test utilizes an optimal method of extraction and analysis for each drug using liquid chromatography tandem-mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS). Our equipment is very accurate and sensitive. 

Does my client have to pay for shipping and handling? 
No. We will provide all necessary shipping fees, packaging and supplies. 

How long does Insight Labs keep the urine samples? 
We keep the samples for 30 days, just in case there is need for an additional confirmation. 

What is the recommended amount of urine a patient should provide?
40 ml of urine is recommended for every sample. (about 1/4th of the cup) 

When will my client's samples arrive to the laboratories? 
Included in our shipping supplies, we always provide 'next day air' shipping labels for our clients. The client's samples should be received at the lab within 24 hours of shipment. 

Where does a client log-in for his or her results?
The results can be accessed by signing into our portal.

How does my client receive their portal username and password? 
Our Customer Service Department will provide you with your username and password that will be included within a welcome e-mail. This email will be sent out as soon as our Customer Service Representative or team has received and approved the New Client Registration Packet. 

How long does it take to receive test results? 
Results are typically reported within 3 days. There is a 2 to 3 day turnaround time from when our laboratories receive the sample. All presumptive positive results go through a confirmation process to ensure accurate results. 

How long are drug testing results on the portal?
Drug testing results are on our website for as long as you are a client with Insight Labs. For your convenience, the most recent results will always be listed at the top of the page when you perform a general search.
